Holly Jacobson

As Voter Action’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, Holly Jacobson has led legal, public outreach, and grassroots organizing efforts to block the use of privatized voting and unreliable elections systems and processes in New Mexico, California, Arizona, Colorado, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Ohio and other states. She helped recruit and direct more than $2.5 million in pro-bono litigation services and developed the organization’s election monitoring work through its Watch the Vote Program.
Prior to starting Voter Action, Ms. Jacobson led a 2004 presidential recount effort in New Mexico which mobilized more than 600 volunteers across the state. Ms. Jacobson has a background in marketing communications and from 1993-2003 worked as a producer and project manager for clients that included Microsoft, United Way and the City of Seattle. She has produced award winning projects for a variety of media including film, television, print, online and digital. Ms. Jacobson has led teams to develop proprietary online products and content for the financial, entertainment and educational industries.
