Some voting results questioned

A Fishers election worker claims the results of November's general election may not be correct and will take her concerns to the Hamilton County Election Board on Friday.

The issue will be discussed on the same day Noblesville school district residents will use the same voting machines to decide a ballot question on whether to spend $59.5 million on building projects.
Susan Barta, a Democrat, said she discovered irregularities after working the polls in the Fall Creek 8 precinct on Election Day. Fall Creek 8 was one of six precincts voting at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Nov. 4.
When studying the vote tally for the County Council at-large race, she found the number of candidate votes and undervotes -- the term used when people abstain from voting for any candidate -- didn't match up on either of the two MicroVote Infinity voting machines used in her precinct.
